A fruit tree belonging to the citrus family, whose fruit has different names such as lime, green lemon, and Peruvian lemon. The tree comes from Burma and India and was brought to the Mediterranean region over a thousand years ago by Arabian merchants.

The essential oil is obtained by cold pressing the peel of the fruit, and is ideal for creating a peaceful, serene and aromatic atmosphere with its bitter-sweet, citric fresh scent. The oil is produced in Spain, Mexico and the US, and is not toxic or irritant and suitable for use on sensitive skin, and can be indicated for all skin types. The oil is phototoxic and should not be used before exposure to the sun.
